Welcome to Korean Study Cafe (“we,” “our,” “us”). These Terms & Conditions govern your use of our website and services. By making payment, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to all terms and conditions outlined here.

1. Use of Services

1.1 Class Materials and Recordings:

Materials, recordings, or resources provided during the course may not be reproduced, distributed, or shared without explicit permission from Korean Study Cafe.

1.2 Recording Classes:

Students may not record class sessions without explicit permission from Korean Study Cafe, the teacher, and the other students present.

2. Refund Policy

2.1 Refund Deadlines:

• **Before Class Start:**100% refund is available, minus the administrative fee.
• **After Class Start:**Refunds are calculated based on the remaining sessions.
  • Example: If a student attends 3 out of 10 sessions and requests a refund, they will be refunded for the remaining 7 sessions.

2.2 Administrative Fee Deduction:

To cover the operational impact of refund requests, an administrative fee will be deducted:

• The lesser of 5% of the total payment or $50.

2.3 Prior Issue Resolution Requirement:

Before submitting a refund request, students are encouraged to resolve their concerns by:

• Requesting a teacher change or alternative class option.
• Discussing their issues with the administrative team to explore other solutions.

3. Payment

3.1 Payment Deadlines:

• Payment must be made upfront or in agreed installments.
• For students on a 3-month payment plan, all payments must be completed at least 1 day before the scheduled start of the class.

3.2 Non-Payment:

Failure to complete payment by the deadline will result in cancellation of enrollment and removal from the class.

4. Attendance and Class Recordings

4.1 Partial Attendance:

No refunds will be issued for missed classes. However, students will receive access to recorded videos of the sessions they missed.

4.2 Replacement Classes:

If a student cannot attend a live session, a recorded video of the missed class will be provided. No additional live replacement classes will be scheduled.

4.3 Class Schedule:

Classes will be held on the same fixed day and time for the entire duration of the course.

• The time zone for each class will be announced in advance, and class times will adjust to reflect changes due to daylight savings time in the relevant region.

5. Class Cancellations and Mergers

5.1 Minimum Enrollment Requirement:

If the minimum enrollment of 4 students is not met 3 days before the scheduled start date, students will be given the following options:

1. Transfer to a merged class with another group at a different time.
2. Receive a 100% refund, including all administrative fees.

By agreeing to these Terms, you acknowledge that classes may be merged with another if enrollment requirements are not met.

6. Content Ownership

All content on our website, including text, graphics, logos, button icons, images, audio clips, digital downloads, and data compilations, is the property of Korean Study Cafe or its content suppliers and is protected by international copyright laws.

7. Non-Judgmental and Safe-Learning Environment Policy

7.1 Purpose:

Korean Study Cafe is committed to fostering a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment where students can participate without fear of discrimination, harassment, or bullying.

7.2 Student Responsibilities:

• Treat peers, instructors, and staff with respect and kindness.
• Avoid any form of bullying, harassment, or discriminatory behavior based on race, gender, religion, age, ethnicity, sexual orientation, or any other personal characteristic.

7.3 Prohibited Actions:

• Verbal or physical harassment, intimidation, or bullying of any kind.
• Discriminatory remarks or actions that create a hostile learning environment.
• Disruption of class activities through aggressive or inappropriate behavior.

7.4 Reporting and Investigation:

• Any violations of this policy should be reported to the administrative team immediately.
• Reports will be reviewed promptly and confidentially.

7.5 Consequences for Violations:

Students found in violation of this policy may face the following actions, depending on the severity of the issue:

• Verbal warning or written notice.
• Temporary suspension from class activities.
• Permanent removal from the class.

7.6 Refund Policy for Dismissals:

If a student is removed from the class due to violating this policy:

• Partial Refund: A prorated refund may be issued based on the number of classes attended and the circumstances surrounding the dismissal.
• Refunds will not be granted for severe violations involving intentional harm or repeated offenses.

8. User-Generated Content (UGC)

8.1 Usage Rights:

By submitting content such as reviews, comments, or suggestions (“User-Generated Content”), you grant Korean Study Cafe the following rights:

• A non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, and fully sublicensable right to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, and display your UGC.
• The right to sublicense your UGC to third parties for purposes directly related to Korean Study Cafe’s services.
• The right to edit or modify your UGC for formatting consistency (e.g., adjusting layout or correcting spelling errors) without altering its original meaning.

8.2 Removal Requests:

You may request the removal of your UGC by contacting us. We will review and process such requests in compliance with applicable laws.

8.3 Your Responsibilities:

By submitting UGC, you represent and warrant that:

• Your UGC does not violate the rights of any third party, including copyright, trademark, privacy, or publicity rights.
• Your UGC is not defamatory, obscene, threatening, abusive, or otherwise unlawful.

9. Account Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your account and access to our services without prior notice for reasons such as violating these Terms & Conditions or engaging in unlawful activities.

10. Dispute Resolution

All disputes arising in connection with these Terms & Conditions will be resolved first by discussion with the administrative team of Korean Study Cafe. If no resolution is achieved, disputes will be referred to the appropriate local court of jurisdiction.
